A new systematic review and meta-analysis by Centre-UB fellow, Dr Zhaozhang Sun, and colleagues assessed the effectiveness of GPS-enabled physical activity (PA) interventions—with or without dietary components—for obesity control in adults. The findings suggest that GPS-enabled PA interventions are effective for short-term reductions in obesity-related outcomes, and the addition of dietary components does not consistently provide added benefit. This evidence supports the potential of GPS-based technologies in scalable digital health strategies aligned with public health goals. Read more here.
