Why do attempts to change behaviour sometimes fail, even when people appear motivated to act?
In this interactive online Masterclass, Dr Matt Barnard will introduce the Integrated Model of Behaviour and show how it can be used to understand behavioural challenges and develop clearer research questions and interventions.
Using a real-world example, participants will apply the model to identify factors that help or hinder behaviour and consider possible interventions.
Who is it for?
The session is for researchers and practitioners in higher education, government and the public and private sectors who use behavioural research to inform practice. No previous knowledge of the model is required.

By the end of the Masterclass, participants will be able to:
- Explain the key elements of the Integrated Model of Behaviour.
- Use the model to identify factors that help or hinder a behaviour.
- Use their analysis to develop research questions and possible interventions.
